Paris, 15 October 2026 — The Global Youth Dialogue Among Civilisations Alliance (GYDCA) had the great pleasure of welcoming an official delegation from Beijing, comprising 19 representatives from Chinese public institutions and leading companies, for a visit to UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

This special visit provided the delegation with an opportunity to discover the environment of this international organisation, a symbol of cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture. It also offered a valuable opportunity to discuss the importance of dialogue among civilisations and explore ways to strengthen intercultural relations through new joint initiatives.
A Meeting Dedicated to Dialogue Among Civilisations
Bringing together representatives from various sectors, including culture, innovation, urban development, energy and public administration, the visit encouraged discussions on contemporary challenges in international cooperation.
The meeting closely reflected GYDCA’s mission to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and respect for diversity, while encouraging the active participation of young people in building a more inclusive and peaceful world.
Through its activities, GYDCA seeks to create opportunities for interaction between young people, institutions and civil society stakeholders. The Alliance firmly believes that cultural and educational exchanges are essential tools for overcoming differences and strengthening ties between peoples.

Exploring New Opportunities for International Cooperation
Beyond discovering UNESCO’s facilities, the meeting opened up promising prospects for collaboration between GYDCA and the organisations represented within the Beijing delegation, particularly through projects dedicated to intercultural dialogue and youth cooperation.
Potential initiatives include international conferences, exchanges between Chinese and European students, intercultural workshops and joint educational projects.
These discussions could also pave the way for initiatives addressing shared priorities, such as innovation, sustainable development, cultural diplomacy and the major challenges facing younger generations.
GYDCA aims to foster concrete and lasting cooperation by providing young people with opportunities to share their experiences, exchange perspectives and actively contribute to the development of international projects.
Youth: An Essential Actor in the Future of International Cooperation
In an increasingly interconnected world, GYDCA believes that young people play a fundamental role in bringing cultures closer together.
Encouraging exchanges between young people from China, Europe and other regions of the world not only strengthens mutual understanding but also fosters new ideas and collaborations based on shared interests and values.
GYDCA warmly thanks all members of the Beijing delegation for their visit, their interest and the enriching discussions.
This meeting represents another step forward in GYDCA’s commitment to developing international partnerships and creating new opportunities for cooperation between younger generations.
Together, let us continue building bridges between cultures and making dialogue a driving force for peace, understanding and international cooperation.
