The “Youth Voices” Global Youth Exchange Programme was launched at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Initiated by the Global Youth Dialogue among Civilizations Alliance (GYDCA), the programme is open to young people worldwide and encourages them to express themselves through video storytelling — sharing perspectives on everyday life, cultural identity, personal experience and global issues.
“Youth Voices” is built as a global platform for amplifying young people’s voices across cultures. Each month it takes up a theme drawn from one of UNESCO’s key priorities, and participants are invited to make short videos reflecting on their daily lives, showing their local cultures, or setting out their views on contemporary social and global challenges.
Connecting young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, the programme builds an international network grounded in dialogue, mutual learning and shared experience. Beyond giving young people a platform to speak and be heard, “Youth Voices” works toward intercultural understanding and more inclusive, creative and substantive global conversation — an expression of GYDCA’s core mission of strengthening intercultural dialogue through authentic youth engagement.
As the programme develops, participants will have chances to take part in UNESCO-related activities, connect with international networks and reach global audiences, widening their international outlook, communication skills and capacity for public engagement.
Through its monthly themed video campaigns, the “Youth Voices” Global Youth Exchange Programme aims to strengthen young people’s role in addressing global issues while encouraging them to tell their stories with authenticity, openness and creativity — empowering a new generation of globally engaged youth and promoting active participation in international cultural exchange and public dialogue.
